Meet The Team

Daryl Curtis, also known as The Jestar, has been actively involved in dancing since 2008. His journey began at the SYPC (Slough Young People's Centre) while he was pursuing art and design studies in college. He showcased his talent at various events organized by SYPC and regularly attended dance classes at the youth center. Daryl later graduated with a 2.1 BA Hons in Dance from Creative Academy, where he received training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and contemporary styles such as Cunningham, Graham, and Release. This diverse training enhanced his funk style foundation and expanded his repertoire of movement qualities.

Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Daryl attended the Urban Dance Camp in Lörrach, Germany, where he learned from renowned choreographers and freestylers like Marty Kudelka, Lando Wilkins, Mr. Wiggles, and Salah. His professional credits include collaborations with PepsiCo, JD Sports and even Performing a solo at Glastonbury 2022. Daryl now teaches regular dance classes in Worcester and is establishing his brand, OddStepperz, to inspire the next generation of dancers to embrace unique styles. He has performed at prestigious events like Breakin Convention and achieved a top 8 ranking in Juste Debout 2014 in the UK for popping. Daryl is experienced in managing and organizing dance events for communities, having founded 'TasteLikeHipHop,' a successful hip-hop event in Slough back in 2012.

Charlotte Jones has dedicated 9 years to her passion for dance. Her journey began at Christopher Whitehead Language College and continued at Heart of Worcestershire College, where she honed her skills in ballet and contemporary styles such as contact, release, Graham, and Cunningham, along with jazz, modern, and tap. Sessions

Workshops on the other hand aren’t always hosted by Øddstepperz. Getting involved in workshops means having the pleasure of working with a multitude of different companies that want to to offer what we teach, so we work together to create 1 event that will cater to everyone involved!

For example, theatres will approach companies like Øddstepperz because we offer something that you usually wouldn’t see on strange, so we provide a workshop that will usually consist of a few hours – a day of intense learning of a selection of styles and moves so everyone involved goes home feeling like they have learned and mastered something new!
Enrichment days are an amazing opportunity for young and older students as it contributes to improve and enhance the quality of their learning experiences by engaging in a new activity that isn’t normally taught in the classroom
Bootcamps and holiday camps are something we at Øddstepperz push to host every year for current and new students to enjoy! The camps we host quite often have a theme depending on the time of year, for example Halloween camps and Easter camps have been a huge success in the past where students have really enjoyed learning dance moves that correlate with the theme.

The camps we organise can run from anything between a day up to a full week! Our holiday/boot camps are a wonderful environment for kids to make new friends, gain confidence and make the most of their school holidays!
Øddstepperz holds there very own Taste Like Hip Hop Summer Camps once a year for 2 weeks in the Worcestershire area! It's inspiring, creative and so much fun. We have StreetDance, Beatboxing, Graffiti and so much more! We bring something new every year so don't forget to check that out!

Dance fest is a community dance organisation, they are one of various partners we have the pleasure of working with. They offer great classes at a great price for their local community and we wanted to be apart of that and give back as one of our main teachers started his dance journey in a community dance organisation also!

We love how much people enjoy what we bring to the table and we only hope we can do more community work with people like dance fest in the future.
Attitude dance company is our first street dance school collaboration of what will hopefully be many in the near future.
